'Toytown' rap for Labour

Liverpool council leader, Warren Bradley has slated Labour councillors for playing ‘toytown politics' over the appointment of the city's new £200,000-a-year chief executive.

Cllr Bradley has also criticised the Labour group leader, Joe Anderson, for ‘acting unwisely' in contacting consultant Veredus for information on the long list of candidates for the post, and reported his behaviour to the council's standards committee.
