Maidstone BC and Kent CC have bought a former Royal Mail site to kick-start a regeneration scheme in the town.

According to a joint statement by the two local authorities, the 3.5-acre mail centre and delivery office, near Maidstone East railway station, will be ‘key to unlocking the potential transformation' of the area.
