Embedding prevention within the social care system will require an annual £1.3bn cash injection over the next four years – big four consultancy group EY has estimated.

EY recommended the Government's next Budget should divert a total of £5.2bn until 2019/20 into a transformation fund – in a report commissioned by the Local Government Association (LGA) and issued today.
