Travellers at the Dale Farm site in Essex lost their legal battle yesterday to stop them being evicted by Basildon BC.

Lawyers representing the hundreds of travellers at the unauthorised site had applied for a High Court injunction to stop the local authority from evicting them, but their application was dismissed.
