Travers set for Barnet chief executive role

Barnet LBC’s interim chief executive, Andrew Travers, looks set to take the role on permanently.

Barnet LBC's interim chief executive, Andrew Travers, looks set to take the role on permanently.

The London borough's selection panel has decided to recommend Mr Tavers be appointed as chief executive.

The appointment is subject to a council vote on 16 July.

In a statement, the council said: ‘The post attracted several candidates of the highest calibre, but the panel unanimously agreed that Andrew had the range of skills and qualities that will best serve the council over what will inevitably be a challenging time for local government.'
