The outgoing chief executive of Kensington and Chelsea RLBC and Hammersmith and Fulham LBC has been appointed to Public Health England's advisory board.

Derek Myers, who leaves his joint post at the two London boroughs at the end of the year, is one of four new non-executive members to the health organisation's board, which will be led by chairman, Professor David Heymann.

Mr Myers will be joined on the board by Professor Richard Parish, the chief executive of the Royal Society for Public Health, Professor George Griffin, from St George's, University of London, and Martin Hindle, chair of University of Leicester Hospitals.

The board's first meeting will be held in June.

‘They each bring invaluable experience and expertise into Public Health England and we very much look forward to working with them,' said Public Health England chief executive, Duncan Selbie.
