Tributes have been paid to Lord Tarsem King of West Bromwich, who has died after being taken ill in London. He was aged 75.

Lord King served as a councillor on Sandwell MBC from 1979 to 2007. He was deputy mayor from 1982 to 1983. He also served as leader of Sandwell from 1997 to 2001, and as mayor in 2001.
