Whitehall battle erupts between Gove and May over ‘Operation Trojan Horse’ investigation into alleged Islamic infiltration of Birmingham schools

A Whitehall turf war - sparked by the ‘Operation Trojan Horse' investigation into alleged Islamic infiltration of Birmingham schools - has broken out between on-the-rise home secretary Theresa May and education secretary Michael Gove, it emerged today.

‘How did it come to pass, for example that one of the governors at Park View was the chairman of the education committee of the Muslim Council of Britain?' Mrs May asked.
