Troubled families scheme on target, ministers claim

Ministers today claimed nearly one third of the 120,000 households targeted by the troubled families initiative, are being supported.

Nearly one third of the 120,000 households targeted by the DCLG led troubled families initiative are being supported, ministers today claimed.

Figures provided England's top tier authorities, which are all participating in the £485m payment by results scheme, show more than 35,000 families are being helped - a 13,000 increase since last December's figures.
