A truly cooperative council

Tudor Evans outlines how communities in Plymouth have crowdfunded the money they need for around 60 projects, with the council backing the funds raised with up to double the amount. The council is now on the final shortlist for a global award.

So it was a helluva moment to discover my city, Plymouth is in a faceoff with Bogotá (and eight other cities, including London) and in the running for a huge, global award. Not that it's not deserved, in my very humble opinion.

The city of which I'm leader has made the final shortlist – beating 100 others  – to the finals for the Cities of Service Engaged Cities Award.
