NHS trusts have refused to give up their fight to receive mandatory business rate relief despite months of silence.

Some in the sector had started to breathe a sigh of relief after hearing nothing since legal advice obtained by the Local Government Association suggested the trusts' claim they were charities was ‘unfounded'.
