The UK is hindering economic growth by getting things wrong – including Brexit – an international urban policy expert has told The MJ.

US-based growth specialist and author Bruce Katz said the UK economy and levelling up agenda had been held back by exiting the EU and central Government's tendency to infantilise local authorities, and argued that recognising the global status of cities was the way to national prosperity.
