Unison has slammed Chancellor Gordon Brown's announcement placing a 2% ceiling on public sector pay growth.

‘We are in the middle of a three-year pay agreement, and we're not at all happy that the Government is trying to impose pay restraints in the public sector, when it is struggling to keep up with the private sector,' Unison national head of local government, Heather Wakefield said.
