The GMB trade union has urged Surrey CC councillors to rethink a decision to close six care homes for the elderly, amid fears 437 jobs could be lost.

The GMB trade union has urged Surrey CC councillors to rethink a decision to close six care homes for the elderly, amid fears 437 jobs could be lost.

GMB activists claim advance documents posted on the county's website suggest Surrey CC's preferred consultation option is to close the homes in Camberley, Caterham, Cranleigh, Farnham, Ottershaw and Reigate.
