Trade unions have staged a protest against government cuts to Bristol City Council's funding amid plans to cut 1,000 local authority jobs..

The demonstration was organised by the Bristol People's Assembly, with the council looking to find £60m in savings ahead of 2020 while covering a £43m shortfall created by a failure to meet previous savings plans.
