Unison ballots 1.1 million members for November 'day of action'

Unison begins to ballot its 1.1 million members on joining co-ordinated strike action against changes to pensions.

Unison has begun to ballot its 1.1 million members on joining co-ordinated strike action against planned changes to public service pensions set for 30 November.

Dave Prentis, Unison general secretary today gave approval to the Electoral Reform Society to start posting ballot papers, arguing the local government and health schemes are cash rich and financially sound and should not be subject to drastic change.
