Creating a unitary in Buckinghamshire would deliver almost £60m savings over three years, an independent review of local government in the area has found.

Philippa Batting, managing director of Buckinghamshire Business First (BBF), which initiated the crowd-funding study, told The MJ the status quo was not an option and insisted the payback on the transition costs would be ‘really quick'.
