Unite joins Unison in rejecting pay offer

Union Unite has said local government ‘desperately needs an injection of funding' to pay workers ‘properly' after joining Unison is rejecting this year's sector pay offer from employers.

Responding to the result of a ballot of members, Unite's officer for local government Clare Keogh said: ‘Following this overwhelmingly result that saw an 85% rejection of the pay offer, Unite is now actively considering its next steps.
