Unite leader warns of future pay-strikes

A leading trade union leader has warned further waves of public sector strikes could take place unless employers improve pay offers.

Further waves of public sector strikes could take place imminently unless Government employers improve 'scandalous' pay offers, a leading trade union leader has warned.

Speaking ahead of the annual TUC conference, which starts next week, Len McLuskey, general secretary of the Unite trade union said mass walkouts, similar to those staged last November over pensions, in which around 1 million public sector workers took part were likely.
