The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has pushed back the rollout of Universal Credit in 13 Welsh local authority areas from this summer to December.
In a written statement to Parliament, Alok Sharma, the employment minister, said the timetable has been amended in order to ensure the 13 jobcentres frequented by the highest number of Welsh speakers are able to communicate fully in Welsh with the department once Universal Credit is in place.
