Universal fraud fears

The Government’s flagship universal credit (UC) plan is vulnerable to fraud, experts warned this week.

The Government's flagship universal credit (UC) plan is vulnerable to fraud, experts warned this week.

EK Services, a consultancy providing shared services for Canterbury, Dover and Thanet councils in Kent, warned the UC computer system is at risk of abuse because it will not use a property database to assess claims.
