The Government's flagship universal credit (UC) plan is vulnerable to fraud, experts warned this week.

EK Services, a consultancy providing shared services for Canterbury, Dover and Thanet councils in Kent, warned the UC computer system is at risk of abuse because it will not use a property database to assess claims.
