The software and outsourcing company, Northgate Information Solutions, has confirmed that talks with an unnamed potential buyer have collapsed.

The company had announced at the beginning of October that it was meeting with a potential buyer ‘following a number of unsolicited approaches', but admitted last week ‘discussions in relation to these approaches have now been terminated'. Northgate has contracts with several local authorities, including Durham City Council and South Northamptonshire DC.
