'Urgent action' call as nuclear plans implode

Council and union leaders are pressing for urgent action by the Welsh and UK Governments after the collapse of plans to build new nuclear power stations in Anglesey and south Gloucestershire.

Council and union leaders are pressing for urgent action by the Welsh and UK Governments after the collapse of plans to build new nuclear power stations in Anglesey and south Gloucestershire.

Energy giants E.ON and RWE npower have announced they will not continue their joint partnership in Horizon Nuclear Power to build nuclear power stations at Wyfla in Anglesey, and near Oldbury, in south Gloucestershire.
