Utilising regeneration's powerful potential

For years, estate regeneration has been in and out of political fashion as politicians from all sides sought to do something about what Tony Blair in 1997 called ‘the forgotten people' on council estates.

But with housing at the top of the political agenda, and renewed focus on supporting those who have been left behind by globalisation, the Government's forthcoming Estate Regeneration Strategy could not have been better timed.
