Value based pricing and the NHS drugs bill

One of the few areas of NHS reform in which the Government has maintained its original position has been its intention to develop value based pricing for the use of new drugs in the NHS.

In July it published  A new value-based approach to the pricing of branded medicines: Government response to consultation which demonstrated that they will continue to develop the policy that was outlined in December 2010.
