Lewisham today is a successful and cosmopolitan part of London home to energetic, creative and diverse local communities. We are looking to identify opportunities to deliver services in radically different ways to meet the challenges of significant financial constraints and budget savings.

Finance has a key role to play in ensuring first rate financial and commercial advice supports all aspects of the transformation. We now seek to appoint to two critical roles, both reporting to the Executive Director for Resources & Regeneration.

Head of Corporate Resources

Up to c£95,000

You will take responsibility for the strategic direction of the Council's finances, in particular our overall budget strategy and medium term financial planning. You will also manage investment, insurance and pension fund strategy, as well as overseeing audit and risk.

Head of Financial Services

Up to c£95,000

This is a critical role that will help shape Lewisham for the future.Working closely with Members, Chief Officers and external partners you will provide support, challenge and expert financial advice to ensure that decision makers make the most of taxpayer money.
