French-owned waste management firm Veolia has proposed selling Suez’s UK waste business after regulators warned of the risks of a merger.

French-owned waste management firm Veolia has proposed selling Suez's UK waste business after regulators warned of the risks of a merger.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) last month provisionally found the merger between Veolia and Suez raised concerns that could lead to higher prices for local authorities.
