Evelyn Dougherty has joined executive recruiter Veredus (part of Capita plc) as director, local government. She has over 25 years' experience of search and selection and has led on a wide range of senior appointments at chief executive, director and head of service level across the public sector.

She was previously head of executive resourcing and assessment at SOLACE Enterprises for five years. She will lead the Veredus local government practice in the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
