Viridor chief executive to retire

Viridor chief executive Colin Drummond is to retire after heading the group's non-water activities for 20 years.

Viridor chief executive Colin Drummond is to retire after heading the group's non-water activities for 20 years at Viridor and its predecessor company.

Mr Drummond plans to stay on in his current position at the waste management contractor until a replacement is found, after which he will continue as non-executive chairman of Viridor. The group expects a successor to be named by the end of September 2013.
