Visitor boost and £100m investment for coastal towns

Findings produced today show resorts have seen a fifth more visitors make overnight stays.

A 'staycation' induced boom in visitors is helping seaside towns reap the benefits of over £100m in recent investment.

Findings produced today by civil servants motoring club the CSMA show resorts have seen a fifth (21%) more UK visitors make overnight stays, supporting a 23% rise in seaside spend compared with last year.
