East Sussex CC councillors have condemned the Government's ‘cavalier' approach to public and patient inspection of health services.

The council's health overview and scrutiny committee has hit out at the Department of Health's paper, A stronger local voice suggests replacing patient and public involvement forums with local involvement networks, which will have no right to inspect NHS premises.
