Voters in Bath and North East Somerset have rejected calls for a directly-elected mayor.

Voters in Bath and North East Somerset have rejected calls for a directly-elected mayor.

More than 30,000 residents voted in favour of keeping the existing leader and cabinet model in a referendum while just 8,000 backed the elected mayor idea.
