Energy secretary Ed Davey has vowed to help vulnerable residents from missing out on the full rewards of council energy-switching schemes through losing their Warm Home Discount (WHD).

More than one million UK residents struggling with fuel bills look set to see local authority collective energy-switching schemes launched in their area, allowing them to save hundreds of pounds on their energy bill.
