Waltham Forest LBC has frozen plans to relocate residents hit by housing benefit caps and rent rises outside London, according to reports.

The London borough's acquisition of housing in Walsall - 138 miles away from east London in the West Midlands - was rejected by the majority of people living in temporary accommodation, a council consultation found.
