A warning about resettlement

Six months after Putin launched his attack on Ukraine, unease is growing across Whitehall and council offices about the number of refugees who could be left without a home, says Sir Bob Neill.

By any measure, 24 August is a significant date in the Ukrainian calendar, but more so this year than any other.

Thirty-one years since declaring its independence from the Soviet Union, Independence Day is both the main state holiday in Ukraine and last week marked six months to the day since President Putin launched his barbaric attack on the country.
