Warrington Council appoints new interim chief executive

Warrington Council has appointed a new interim chief executive.

Warrington Council has announced details of the appointment of an interim chief executive to take the reins when current postholder, Diana Terris, leaves the authority in early July 2012.

Steven Broomhead, non-executive chairman of Warrington Wolves Rugby League Football Club and former chief executive of both the North West Development Agency and Warrington Council, has been appointed for a six-month period with effect from 26 June 2012. This is subject to approval by full council on 25 June.
