Waste company plans £150m UK expansion

The waste management giant, Shanks Group, has announced a £150m three-year investment programme to help expand its business in the UK.

The waste management giant, Shanks Group, has announced a £150m three-year investment programme to help expand its business in the UK.

The group's chief executive, Tom Drury, said the company's next capital investment programme would be focused on the British market, and concentrated on developing green energy and facilities to sort waste, so the maximum amount could be recycled.
