Local government contractor Willmott Dixon has called on councils to use social value in their procurement processes to help boost local skills.

In a report published on 8 February, entitled Transforming Communities, the company sets out how public sector organisations can use the new Social Value Act to encourage construction and housing repair firms to deliver extra value for communities while delivering services.
