Welsh councils promise to keep increases in council tax bills to a minimum, but warned of future struggles to manage cuts in Government funding.

Local authorities in Wales have promised to keep increases in council tax bills to a minimum, but warned they will struggle to cope because of cuts in Government funding.

Welsh local government minister Carl Sargeant has said councils will receive £4.019 bn in Revenue Support Grant funding next year - a year on year increase of 0.24%, with further increases of 1.3% and 0.6% planned for  2013-14 and 2014-15.
