Laura Shoaf has been announced as the interim chief executive of the West Midlands Combined Authority following the departure of Deborah Cadman to be interim chief executive at Birmingham City Council.

Previously the managing director of Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), Ms Shoaf joined the authority when it was formed in 2016 from the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority.
