SNP minister claims Westminster has been silent in calls for the Scottish government to have the power to run elections in the devolved nation.

Westminster has been 'silent' following calls for the Scottish government to have the power to run all elections in the devolved nation, an SNP minister has claimed.

Scottish local government minister, Derek Mackay, said Holyrood had asked Whitehall for the devolution of the responsibility to run all elections, including local council elections, but had received no response from the UK government.
