Everyone knows the Government made a right pig's ear of Covid, but that's no surprise since Westminster politicians and Whitehall pen-pushers couldn't run a bath.

So how come we expect them to come up smelling of roses handling the worst pandemic since the Black Death? I mean, what is a surprise is these MPs even bother to ask the question when they already know the answer, which is governments can't run a whelk stall and shouldn't even bother trying.
