In the past month the parties have promised us poor voting fodder about a trillion quid's worth of tax cuts and more spending on bed pans and even higher pensions even though old folk are already rolling in it as well as costing us a fortune in bus passes and gulping down as many free pills as they can swallow on the NHS.
