Everyone's banging on about how we need more housing, like we're supposed to build 300,000 a year and we're only building half that and that's why all these boomerang kids are stuck living with their old folks. So, build another 150,000 flats and job done. Yeah right.

On my travels round the shires in the old motor bombing along the country lanes at a modest 70mph, putting the wind up cyclists, I can't help noticing acres of new boxes and I wonder who the hell buys them?
