I keep reading all this stuff about how taxes are going to shoot up after the election 'cos the Government owes a trillion quid, the public finances are knackered and apparently even though we've had cuts for the past five years they haven't made a blind bit of difference and we're in hock more than ever before.

I just laugh 'cos as far as I can see, the number of people who actually pay any tax can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
