A fiery parliamentary showdown between Better Care Fund (BCF) officials and MPs is destined to take place next month after a critical report by auditors.
The House of Commons' spending watchdog is expected to summon civil servants to respond to this week's National Audit Office (NAO) report, which criticised the early stages of planning for the BCF, with claims that the Government's preparation ‘did not match the scale of ambition' for the joint health and social care budget.
