The Government has reaffirmed its commitment to building the Northern Powerhouse.

Following fears the project would fall by the wayside after the EU vote and the new prime minister's subsequent reshuffle, Northern Powerhouse minister Andrew Percy confirmed Whitehall's intention to continue focusing on the development of the north as he embarks for a tour of Hull, Manchester and Liverpool.
