Whitehall should take the lead with road safety campaigns and set targets again on the issue, motoring industry experts have told MPs.

Speaking in front of the transport committee's evidence session on the issue, Neil Greig, Director of Policy and Research at the Institute of Advanced Motorists said target-setting by central government to local authorities on the issue was vital.
