78,000 Whitehall jobs axed since 2010

Figures have shown some 15,000 jobs were cut across Whitehall departments in the year to March.

Figures released by the Office for National Statistics have shown some 15,000 jobs were cut across Whitehall departments in the year to March and that 78,000 civil service jobs have been shed in total since the coalition came to power in 2010.
