Whitehall 'to leave no stone unturned' in selling surplus land

Whitehall departments will publish plans releasing thousands of acres of derelict buildings and unused land.

Whitehall departments with significant landbanks will publish by autumn plans releasing thousands of acres of derelict buildings and unused land to developers, ministers have confirmed.

Officials claim the initiative could build as many as 100,000 new homes and support as many as 25,000 construction jobs.
